What we stand for
The Spirit Organisation (TSO) operates in both the corporate and philanthropic worlds. It captures the essence of the founding Kilbride family. Spirit denotes energy, courage and enthusiasm.
It means being lively, animated, vigorous and determined. It's about having mettle, showing excitement and implies resilience and a strong, confident, personality.
Never dull and never boring, being spirited defines everything we do and seek to achieve in the organisation.
Who we are
Founded in 1990, TSO is privately owned and oversees and guides the global corporate and philanthropic interests of the Kilbride family.
TSO’s corporate interests and companies are housed under Spirit Invest and all philanthropic activities fall under the Spirit Foundation.
This website provides visitors with access to information about the two distinct areas of TSO, namely, its corporate and philanthropic activities.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide energy and sustainable investment into all our business and philanthropic activities in our unique manner.
How do we operate?
We have a clear vision of how we conduct business. We do this in a responsible and impactful manner, while aiming to improve the lives of this and all future generations.
How do we combine corporate interests with philanthropy?
TSO aligns our corporate and philanthropic efforts to enhance our impact and long-term business interests. We bring unique assets (finance, managerial expertise and marketing excellence) that philanthropists and non-profits often lack. By leveraging these capabilities, we can significantly improve the efficiency and impact of our philanthropic programmes.
At TSO, we believe that the most effective collaborations are those with clearly defined objectives in which both the business and the social cause benefit, creating a positive feedback loop of value creation for society and the corporation.
Corporate
Investors in Intellect
A financial institution focused on asset management, wealth management and property management. The success of the company is derived from over 30 years of organic growth which provided a solid foundation. Growth has now been accelerated further, over the last 15 years, through the acquisition of numerous other successful financial companies. Spirit Invest now excels at identifying business opportunities and potential acquisitions that fit neatly within its own future plans.
Philanthropic
Education, Community and Wildlife
For over three decades, the Spirit Foundation has been driven by a strong desire to “Just Do Good”.
The Foundation operates impactfully in the areas of education, community and wildlife. It has made a significant, meaningful and measurable difference in all three areas in which it operates and its track record is hard to match.
